Approach to Language – Learning and Teaching
Choosing to study Italian with An Italian Affair ensures you learn Italian in an authentic environment with qualified native teachers. Our courses are offered in settings, which are imbued with a particular Italian ambiance. Such a relaxed, enjoyable and more realistic setting, encourages learners to develop with confidence their conversational skills more successfully than that offered by the traditional classroom. Our Italian courses are designed to develop and promote communication skills through listening, speaking, reading and writing. The courses are designed for those who would like to gain a basic understanding of Italian or improve their Italian language skills further. Our Italian language courses are structured according to the Common European Framework of Reference. Class sizes are small to ensure each learner is guided through the learning process.
An Italian Affair uses the communicative teaching methodology to help the learners gain confidence and achieve fluency. The learners will be immersed in Italian dialogues using real life scenarios from the beginning of the course. This involves learning how to use the language in realistic and everyday situations with an Italian speaker.
